      I don't begrudge anyone finding a good deal. But it would bother me to think that some few of us are favored by TLC because of their purchasing power.          Richard, I'm certainly not an economist, so my feelings are just a mildly educated opinion, but I don't think you will ever see any major company have a distribution channel like you want.             I've got a few thoughts here (like I haven't already): The fact that the outlet will not ship to nearby customers sucks. There is no good reason to limit where they ship.    From what various people have said, I think that the people who were called were the people they happened to have phone numbers handy, who happened to be near the phone when they called. I haven't ordered that much from them (just 10 6038s out of (...) (25 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !
