pick it up.  MISB at $55 is a great deal.  Having looked up what it was, I
wish the Nebual Outposts had been offered this week too, instead of just all
of them being handed over to Larry P.  I happen to not have even one, and
obtaing one would have been nice for me.

Sometimes, all you have to do is ask nicely and you find that people will make
sure you get something you'd like but missed out on.  Sometimes you don't even
have to ask - they just offer, seeing the need.  I've been on both sides of
that sort of deal.

Maybe if you didn't seem to try so hard to make people mad (or maybe it just
comes naturally for you, but don't deny that you weren't looking to tick
people off with some of the things you wrote) there'd already be a 6899 on its
way to you.

Well, how true that is. You know, it's just possible that someone out there
might have a Nebula Outpost, (6899) that he got months ago, or even years ago,
that has been just collecting dust in their homes, not because it was
unwanted, but it might have been unneeded by the owner. You could have just
said what I said about the Royal Drawbridge (6078) I've somehow missed out on
getting even one. Someday I'll get a copy of my very own. That someday could
be next week due to the efforts of at least one even keeled, level headed
member of the community. I think it's a karma thing.  Good things come those
who do good for others. On that note, hey Frank Filz, you wanted a copy of
those instructions to a Coko Raider, right? I'm gonna scan them right now and
put them up on my web site.

(...) Weird timing. Not too long ago I picked up armfuls of both of these sets on clearance at local stores ($5 for gobs of 6899 & $20 for a half dozen 6078.) I think I have one or two unopened stuffed in the top of the closet... (25 years ago, 29-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
