This is wrong no matter how you slice it.

'Wrong' is an innapropriate word choice - for short-term profit, selling lots
of things to one person is better. For keeping as much fans happy as possible,
spreading it out more equally is better. Right/wrong doesn't come into it.

Is anything else relevent? As in, I'd happily contribute to a thread in
market.theory about an innovative business plan that would allow LEGO to
placate as many fans as possible - if such an aim is achievable (who knows?).

Seperating the entwined topics might help calm down the overly high emotions,
which I don't think belong in this group.

(...) Well, here's hopefully an objective rant... The fact that LEGO has set up outlet stores means that they are bleeding. The outlet stores are a desperate attempt to limit that bleeding. The outlet stores sell obsolete stock at discounted prices (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !

(...) I'm in. But I guess we might as well for Lego Direct to happen / not happen and see what they can come up with. I just hope they aren't listening to or dealing exclusively with the "have's" in this thread -- they are probably the wrong fellows (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

A couple of thoughts here: 1. I have no side in this argument. I understand the business practices of the manager. I disagree with them. As I said, I wouldn't be able to convince you if I was God, anyway. Therefore I will let you have the false (...) (25 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
