That doesnt seem right i mailed them a letter a couple months ago and the LEGO GROUP said "we can not take any ideas from our costumers due to legal reasons" and i would scan the letter but my scanner is broke. Hi Folks, as some of you might have heared already, the FGLTC (First German Lego® Train Club) is starting the 5th train event in Braunschweig / Northern Germany. Braunschweig is a town right between Hannover and Berlin (and for e.g. just 415 km away (...) Yes, fhe fact that TLC/LD "recognized" another AFOL group is great too! Wish I could read along in 1000steine.dl... What does 1000steine mean? From what I know, a 'steine' is a beer mug, correct? I just measured and the radius of LEGO track and it's 20 studs (to the center of the tie). The question is what should the wider track radius be. The yellow Technic bridge is a bow truss. It is not an arch. Truss members are either in tension or compression and truss joints are assumed to be pinned or hinged. An arch works in compression. Wow. Very beautiful. Hope to see some close-up pics soon. I'm very interested in how you attached the 4.5 curve track to the rest of the structure. Do they pop off if the bridge gets bumped, or did you come up with a clever solution? Are those (...) (24 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)

If you think TLC 6 wide trains are too expensive, just think how bad 8 wide ones would be. 1/3 more in each direction == approximately double == 2x the cost. Ok i am sorry but again this is how it works! The term Radius(in model railroading) originates from the fact that you take a half circle of track and measure it from one outside track to the other outside. The term TURN RADIUS(in model railroading) (...) (24 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)

I am sorry but thats not how ya' do it. The turn radius is basically measuring how wide a half a circle of track is from the outer track across the half circle to the outer track on the opposite side. check out this drawing it will help. (URL) term (...) (24 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)
