Not at all.

This "funny math" needs to be dispelled right now. True, it is 1/3 wider, but
length is arbitrary according to how much you want to compress (even I
compress BION). And height remains the same (I just compared by Hiawatha
coaches to a metroliner coach-- something which I had never done, and they are
exactly the same height). It doesn't surprise me that 8 wide and 6 wide have
the same height dimensions, because the minifig is still the same height!
Basically, the only difference between 8 wide and 6 wide is that 6 wide scale
*is* 8 wide scale, but *compressed* width wise. Internalize that. This is a
particularly unfortunate thing due to the fact that the minifig is *so* wide.
I really think we need to reject this width compression, or else we are doomed
to having snowmobiles and trains the same width:-( That's sick and wrong...

Poppycock.

lol "Height of folly"?? Hardly. No, I think what they have *already* done to
the train line over the past 6 years would be *that*.

| (...) "Not at all" what? You said "if the guy in charge asked what I would think" and I told you what I would say. Are you now speaking FOR this hypothetical person? (...) We'll see. We'll just see what we shall see. ++Lar (24 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)
