I was at the Guildford mall Bay store this afternoon, and found a previously opened Spider Slayer technic set (#3038). I did a quick check, and the motor and connecting wire is still there. Here's my 2¢... 1. I'd love to build something, but my LEGO is in piles... one unwashed, one clean, one partially sorted. Ever since I acquired every set in the Belville fairy tale Castle series, I have wanted to build one large Castle using all the pieces possible. It was quite difficult considering I was limited to the Belville colors -- adding regular LEGO® colored (...) Well, I got to talk to Dick Sutcliffe on the phone, they are interested in having us at the show, and he's sending over the papers for the train shop (by mail to me, orpossibly by fax to Dean and Alex). I've always been unconventional... even in matters of unconventionality... ohhh, No. 17 is great. It's well balanced with the maple leaf in the centre too! I like it. If we can approve this, we can make use of it on some flyers etc. for the October (...) (24 years ago, 12-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Another variation to look at ... Image "VLCLogo17" at: (URL) The top red brick is a slope facing away from the "front" - I've removed the "VLC" letters from the face. dear Robin: I really like No. 15 with the pen outline. It gives it a very stark contrast, which I personally prefer. I agree with Dean in that perhaps the top brick would look better as a sloped brick. While it would be nice to have the Maple Leaf (...) (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
