I agree entirely with Orion here. And I also think that making the LDR file
available for the winning entry would be a great idea, but *only with the
permission of the entrant.*
I recommend it be strongly encouraged.

I prefer the idea of the entrants rendering their own files, but with these
guidelines:
- To make the entries more equal, each model might be rendered with a
plain-colored background. Not even a ground plane (which is what I did on
my Cessna entry last month...and I threw in the sky against my better
judgment).
- Radiosity renders might be disallowed in the MOTM. The SOTM is a better
place to showcase more interesting rendering techniques.
- Strongly encourage (not require) entrants to submit up to four views of
their choosing. I believe as that is done more commonly, most entrants will
want to show off more of their model at once.
