(...) It seems like there's a "is this FTX?" bit set for each message. Hence, every message is either flagged as plain text or as FTX. So the 1.5 Mindstorm PC based programming software (does it have a real name, to minimize confusion?) that uses the drag and drop based GUI should work fine with the 2.0 firmware. I have recently obtained a PII 233 notebook with a 6GB drive I planned to use with the RIS 1.5 I just got used <shame><guilt>and still haven't opened </guilt></shame>. I think your attitude toward the competition is important to. Easy - the most important consideration is to keep it simple. Every feature or capability or software response you build in lets your bot DO something, but it adds failure modes. Seems that she was at a school rummage sale a few weeks back, and saw two LEGO grey baseplates for 25 cents (that's 25 cents for *both*--very nice!) So she got (...)
