So how does this FTX stuff work for sending messages by mail. Is this
bold?
|
It seems like theres a is this FTX? bit set for each message.
|
Its a Content-Type header. The content type is set to x-ftx...although
this is causing some trouble for people so itll probably change to
text/plain and a different header would be used.
|
Hence, every
message is either flagged as plain text or as FTX. Since yours (I assume)
comes in via SMTP, I think it must get automatically set to be plain text
rather than FTX. So anyone posting via email or NNTP probably doesnt get to
use the FTX codes...
|
If your newsreader or e-mail editor allows you to set arbitrary headers, you
could post in FTX by setting the headers...
|
I assume, though, that Todd will write something up to filter them out
for those who actually have to read Lugnet via SMTP or NNTP, since otherwise
messages will quickly start looking ugly :(
|
Whats ugly about it? It degenerates just fine to plain text.

Take 2...
I like it Todd, dont change a thing...
I notice that web-links in indented messages (from posting replies) arent
actually underlining... but Im sure someone mentioned that elsewhere...
Take care and keep up the great work.
The only thing, and again I thing its just me reiterating others--the .sig
files with the pics (which I just rried of course) should have some sort of
policy, like nothing bigger than 150 pixels high or not bigger than 10 k or
somehting...
But just throwing it out there--loving all these new things :)
Nicely done!
