Hey Calum,

Some of us (NB!) helped Jeff VW sort part of his new collection over the
weekend.  Many bricks.  I'm somewhat jealous, but I managed to pocket
most of the good stuff :)

("The doors!  THE DOORS!")

I've also had my head down throwing together an
"I-don't-feel-like-rebuilding-Altenburg-today" distraction project.
We've got some cabinetwork bookcases at each corner of our cubes in the
new office.  They are 6' high, 4' apart, and have fairly large flat top
surfaces.  It seemed like a natural for a Lego bridge of some sort, so I
cranked out a mid-sized parabolic truss over the past couple of days,
and installed it today.  It's a little shy of 5' in the main span, but I
haven't decided what sort of deck to put on it yet, nor how wide it will
be in the final version.  It's about 14 bricks wide right now, which is
very, very narrow.

I can't help but notice that the bookcases are 4' apart in the X
direction... and about 12' apart in the Y.  It's a little tempting to
try to do a truss in that direction, although the ceiling height will be
a big problem, I think.  And I'd likely run low on black technic beams,
given how many are already in Altenburg.  Plus, if it fails, it'll fall
on someone's head, which might hurt. :P

and behold, I check and you're all quiet.

Is this a new form of Calum ball?  WinME baiting not working? :)

Anyways, I'm aiming for Paris on Thursday and Friday, Munich (and therefore
Legoland Germany on the weekend) and maybe Legoland Windsor again before I
leave...
