I guess i never point out that upgrading firmware only ADD's
functionality.
the standard firmware wont let you play with the LCD display (i think)
but as firmware gets upgraded, functionality expands.
I see no negative reason why NOT to upgrade.
ALL my bricks run the latest firmware

| So the 1.5 Mindstorm PC based programming software (does it have a real name, to minimize confusion?) that uses the drag and drop based GUI should work fine with the 2.0 firmware. It just won't provide access to those features. Second dumb newbie (...) (21 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
