I dunno, I have a pair too.  I think they're older ones:

I always have them left out of my layout modules, because they're non
standard, so I pick them first when starting a new project (because I never
have enough 48x48's around), then realize I have to transfer the entire
project over to new 48's.  I did this with my car factory and my Red
Station.  I seem to never learn this lesson to beware the 50's

So I'm over at the mother-in'law's place on the weekend, for Mother's Day (of course). Seems that she was at a school rummage sale a few weeks back, and saw two LEGO grey baseplates for 25 cents (that's 25 cents for *both*--very nice!) So she got (...) (21 years ago, 13-May-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
