And I think Dave! can be forgiven his conflating the statements of the poodle
with those of its master. The 45 minute statement is a Blair thing:

And as Kooties has noted elsewhere, the poodle and its master are meeting later
in the week to get their mutual story straightened out and thereby provide a
unified front for the media in the future. An alternative interpretation might
be one where Blairs losing office might work to Shrubs advantage somehow.
Maybe Blair will fall on his sword for Shrub? What has Blair got to lose? Hes
the one feeling the most heat. Americans barely care as compared to their
counterparts across the pond.
