Itd be great to blame Shrub for a lot of this, and I do, but lets be even more
specific in what is being claimed.
Leaving quotes and vaguely worded claims to the side, I am blame Shrub for a
rush to judgment on a matter of considerable importance. Really, its just that
simple.
If we had continued a different process we might now know -- in advance of war
-- that some claims made around the time of the state of the Union Address and
approaching the actual eve of war were proving out false or at least grossly
overstated. But Shrub had no patience, and the people of the U.S. did not
require any of him either.
Do I think he knowlingly lied and misled the U.S.? Yes. Are we going to be able
to prove it? Probably not, see:

Looks like the brass at the CIA are willing to take the fall. More
realistically, no one is falling on any swords because its unnecessary to do so
-- there is no overwhelming portion of the U.S. citizenry demanding anything
like the truth yet. Everyones still asleep.
Nitey nite...
