b) everybody flood Brad, and others at Lego Direct (spam their personal
mail accounts) with our opinions until they either forward them to the
right channels or decide to something about it.

I strongly disagree with this suggestion.  I don't think that's a fair move
at all.  To be completely honest, I recently sent my first email directly to
Brad's account and in some ways I wish I hadn't.  I have said before that he
has not requested direct emails and I don't think we should hound him that • way.

LEGO has hinted that they at least pay attention to LUGNET.  They provided a
one-time financial gift to LUGNET.  They allow their staff to post to LUGNET
under their LEGO.com addresses.  For some reason, they don't open up their
own website to discussion forums, so for now, this is the place to vent and
express opinions.  Of course, that's just my opinion.

If you go to a conference, and you have a question (or some information) for a
speaker, do you stand up in the hall & shout the question to everyone? No,
because it's not effective. You talk directly to the speaker, even if you have
to wait in line.

I disagree that we should "flood" anyone with email, but if you have something
to ask (or say) which is pertinent to Brad's position as VP of LD (which I
think many of the points you make are), I think it's definitely appropriate to
email him direct. That's what his email is there for. Or send a letter
snail-mail, if you prefer.

Just my opinion.
