My mistake, it was the S@H catalog, not the magazine, see:
http://news.lugnet.com/events/brickfest/?n=460 et al

O.K. I've read the posting (mostly 2nd hand info of what Brad may or may not
have said) and I'm not sure I understand your point.

My point is: That people visiting LEGO.com represent a very small portion of
LEGOs customers.

You've complained that informal polls on LUGNET do not represent the views
of the general public.

I've said that polls on LEGO.com would also not represent the views of the
general public, despite representing a different and larger  section of the
whole LEGO customer base than LUGNET.

I think LEGO undertakes its own research on what its customers want. Think
about all the other products you buy which don't include a survey in every
packet.

We got S@H in Australia, and that certainly wasn't on the strength of the
arguments for it here on LUGNET.

I hope LEGO's offering gets better in the future, and there a plenty of
older sets which I regret missing out on. I would like a broader range of
bulk bricks. And I would like LEGO's offering to be cheaper. (I think you
would agree with all these points). But none of these things makes LEGO's
offering today bad.

Cheers

Richie Dulin

(...) O.K. Let me try to express what I'm feeling in different words. If the LEGO.com site isn't getting at least 10 times the hits/day of LUGNET, then someone is really doing something wrong. Think about it, honestly... when you want to go find out (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
