Well, at least we are talking about this! And thats what I wanted. I really
hope if we keep talking about this subject of light gray bricks, we just
might see them next year?
Was I harsh......Maybe, but I dont really feel so. Brad is a CEO etc or
whatever and should be able to handle those statements I made, and then act
upon them.
I myself am a CEO of Large Corporation and understand the designs and
interworkings of Subdivisions etc.
I still feel his lack of communication or "two way" as everyone puts it, was
warranted of such criticism. Don't get me wrong Lego Direct was a step in
the right direction but 2 years and no real bulk items is pretty long in the
realm of modern business.
I really hope Brad reads these posts and replies, because I feel he needs to
take this heat or at least pass it on up the ladder. I feel we deserve
explanations as to why the most heavily requested bulk packs were not
granted. Sure Guarded Inn was great but we are talking about BULK orders not
sets, and I think we NEED those bulk sets, Hell I know I do!
I am currently building a project than has been in the works for more than 5
Years (I hope that is patient enough?) And is going to cost me in the realm
of $20,000 to $30,000 to make. I was hoping to cut that cost and speed
production up by Bulk orders of bricks not readily available in auctions in
quantity.
Good I can order 300,000 2x4 Gray bricks and I am glad for that but its
costing me more than when they had the accessory packs of gray bricks which
had 1x1's which they do not have in bulk yet or 1x3's. I use to get the
bricks in Bulk Case orders for less than I can now, but I was in hope that
though more expensive than before, with the release of New bulk packs,
slopes etc. that it would in the long run cancel out the higher cost.
Instead all we get is the same we have ALWAYS been able to get with nothing
really new in the works or even the courtesy of telling us if there was a
release, or why not of Light Gray bricks.
I am one that doesn't have to have everything right way, but I think ANY
reasonable person can see that the time period they had, with the promises
have not been fulfilled as of today. I hope with my remarks and OUR
continued persistence, which we WILL be able to accomplish what silence has
appeared not to.
Thank you,
I hope this will enlighten as to why I feel the way I do.
Doyle
P.S. Some of the older forumer know I have been around for a while, just
been very busy and unable to keep up with current events, which seems to be
really nothing in my opinion with LD.
