-J -z100 looks wonderful:

Ok, that'll be the default in the next release.

Hello, all! My name is Jim and it just so happens that the web site you've been
discussing in regards to the rendering problems is mine. I'm new to LUGNET, so
imagine my surprise when I first start reading its Mac section and see people
discussing the pictures I've posted of my models!

In any case it is great to see some of these issues being resolved. The -J
-z100 option does indeed do wonders, it will be good to have that as a standard
option (or at least the -z100 part, that's what really fixes the problem). I am
tempted to redo the pictures on my site using the new options, too!

I'll just confirm a few things that have already been confirmed: GL_DEPTH_BITS
is 24 on my machine, and my machine does have a Rage 128 Pro.

I know this isn't the exact best place to reply to this issue, but I just
thought I'd re-emphasize what someone said elsewhere in this thread about mouse
rotation: it's really annoying the way it 'works' now! When I try to move my
models around to take pictures of them it is really difficult (more like
random) getting nice perspectives. Hmm... are there keyboard commands to rotate
the the view (rather than just rotating the entire model itself)? Perhaps there
are and I've just overlooked them.

All issues aside, I'd also like to say that I, too, am extremely pleased to
have a Mac-compatible ldraw editor. It really brings together two of my
favorite things (Macs and legos)!

Oh and I might as well advertise my Mac MPD Utility
(http://wind.prohosting.com/anoved/computer.shtml#mpdutil) to all you Mac OS X
users out there... its an MPD file builder/splitter. I've been meaning to post
an announcement about it here too, I suppose I should stop writing off topic
things in this thread and go make some seperate posts.

Alright, well once again it is good to find a solution to the icky perspective
rendering. It makes me happy. :)

Later,

Jim
