You forgot about turning on your computer and moving the mouse in that list
of steps. IMO this is a Straw Man argument. If you have used LDraw or
LEdit, you have read the FAQ and it is in the FAQ. It is true that if you
go looking for it a few months after starting to use LDraw it might be more
difficult to find. Kinda weird that when you aren't looking for it, it is
easier to find then when you are looking for it :). I did the same thing as
you yesterday, and I found (like you) that it wasn't a very direct route to
the subscription information.

I don't think it was (not sure though). I think that the subscription
information was just put out there without much consideration for how easy
it was to get at.

the specific nature of the LCAD list should not need that much (if any)
cross-posting

This would be a limited advantage, but most of the discussions on the list
are time sensitive.

I too am interested whether others find looking at email as well as news
groups frustrating. Although I don't find it frustrating, and I did not even
known that the Listserver chokes (until Steve mentioned it), I am only one
vote... there must be others who want to gateway the list to Lugnet.
People...comments?

Perhaps my reasons for believing that there is no need are flawed. It just
seems that there is no clear advantage.
It is a lot easier to burn a barn that to build one. Perhaps I am just
"burning" points that you bring up... I don't know, and I think I will stop
talking on this. No one is supporting the same thoughts I have, so I don't
want to hold up what others want.
