[2] If you ever want to set up lugnet.maillist.robotics and
lugnet.maillist.lcad (to echo L-CAD), I am there.  Although I'd expect
in the future SIGs will just get their own ng, and people will e-mail
subscribe through lugnet.

Steve,

Could you go into a bit more detail on the first sentence quoted above?

I meant that if there was a hierarchy created specifically to echo
mailing lists, I would support the idea of echoing/linking L-CAD on
lugnet.  But I have the feeling that this hierarchy would only ever have
two subgroups.

The lego-robotics@crynwr.com mailing list is already currently gatewayed
with the lugnet.robotics newsgroup.  Are you envisioning some other type
of gateway?  Or a new ng or ml?

I was mentioning (in passing, I hope) the idea of an ng realignment.
This was in the context of hanging new ng's under lugnet.robotics.  I'm
against that, because of l.r's unique nature.

Are you in favor of gatewaying the l-cad@listserv.uh.edu mailing list with
the lugnet.cad newsgroup or a subgroup of it?  (This capability is 99.9%
already set up -- it just needs group approval and a switch thrown at each
end to make it a reality.)

I'd be for it, as long as it wasn't tied directly to lugnet.cad.  Make a
new group, lugnet.cad.dev or lugnet.maillist.lcad, or something.

Steve
