RE: Obscure question about Milton, Ontario

Iaia, Being an outdoorsy type, and interested in bridges, you need to come up to Collingwood to the Scenic Caves park. Not because of the caves, but becasue of the really cool suspension bridge they put in over the valley. It's like 300 meters off (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Obscure question about Milton, Ontario

:-/ I'm reluctant to post this, because I know I've posted a fair chunk of already off-topic stuff in the past. But this one is really driving me nuts, and I know there are several of us on here who are a) outdoorsie types, b) not from Toronto, c) (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  some quick help...

I need to build a few robots (4 or 5) for a SMALL KIDS course monday morning. I've decided to use the microscout (cause to me they are more disposable) Does anyone have a link to a quick down and dirty wheeled or legged robot with some (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Instructions...galore.

Hi folks, Today, I have somehow come into the posession of several hundred, nay, a thousand or two Lego set instructions. Four large boxes of them from the last few years (maybe anywhere from 1 to 10 years old) and pretty well everything--Duplo to (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Is any one looking for a P4 mobo, cheap?

Hey gang, I just upgraded my motherboard and now I’m trying to get rid of the extra one I ended up with. If someone is looking to build a “budget” P4 system, this mobo should fit in nicely: ASUS P4PE-L - Intel 845PE chipset - Socket 478 Supports up (...)   LEGOLAND California to remove Spellbreaker

From Screamscape: Park News - (7/9/04) This may be old news to some of you, but this is the first I've heard of it.   Re: Thoughts on drag racing

I'm going to agree with Ivan on this one. all these other ideas re: "starting;" force people to either orientate the brick, make people use an IR message, or whatever.   Re: Thoughts on drag racing

(...) Ya, as long as we are clear what the IR message is then it won't be a problem for any of the OSs that support IR. The problem is some of them encode messages the same way the standard firmware does, while others are more raw about it. I guess (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Thoughts on drag racing

(...) Instead of using a particular program slot, just have everyone listen for a specific message at the beginning of their code. Obviously NQC supports standard RCX messages, and I know BrickOS does as well. If someone wants to be a pain and use (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  GLIS

Well what used to be a reasonably priced, $3.99, 9 compartment PLANO like storage container from IKEA, is now an over priced, $6.99 waste of money. I liked the GLIS storage containers and at $3.99 they were a great deal, and quite useful. Sometime (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Thoughts on drag racing

(...) As long as the message is in a standardized form that can easily be understood by all OSs used by members of RTL, then this would work.
