From Screamscape:
Park News - (7/9/04) This may be old news to some of you, but this is the
first I've heard of it. Spellbreaker, the dual track Caripro Batflyer that
was added to the park in late 2000 has been standing closed at the park
since sometime in 2003. The official statement from Legoland is that
Spellbreaker has been closed permanently after 3.5 years of operation (and
nearly 1.4 million rides) due to a bad performance record. "A company that
is no longer in business manufactured Spellbreaker in Holland. The ride was
not performing to LEGOLAND California's stringent levels of up time. It's
operational inconsistencies, coupled with its high employee-to-guest ratio
made it less cost effective than most rides. The ride will be dismantled
this summer, making way for new and exciting attractions."
