In addition to the ~3 m turbine someone has erected in their backyard
visible from my apartment building, I discovered a nice turbine about 5 km
from the St Jacob's Farmer's Market (home of Bricks and Blocks).

I've no idea the history of it, all I know is it's on a private individual's
farm, and he has 3 other windturbines (small type, < 50 kW) set up on his
property as well.  I'd guess this unit is a couple of hundred kilowatts and
sits on the top of a hill.  It is appr. 30 m tall.

(...) I can see this turbine from the deck at the back of my house. It was probably put up some time in April, and has only been operational a few times. Every time I've see it turning the casing on it has been open - so I'm not sure what is up with (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
