Okay, this looks like a good spot for me to ask:

I've gotten a few offers now for coding help. Yeaaa!!
I'll be honest: From behind the scenes, it's looking more and more like a
SourceForge, or SF-like, project -will- happen (including access to existing
code). I can't guarantee it yet though, and I'm not sure when it would begin (in
1-3 months?).
Perhaps a dedicated group is premature? Or maybe everything is too open-ended at
this point? Or, such conversation would be better had elsewhere?
Typically I'd think a discussion without any initial plan may be unwise (i.e.,
potentially fruitless). And we don't have project leadership or any other team
structure yet, BUT we're in all-new waters here!
As long as you folks don't mind talking-tech under such casual circumstances,
I'd love to provide the encouragement and listen in while I'm busy working on
the things that I need to do.

| (...) It might make sense, but it seems to work fine to keep the discussion here. I suppose it depends a bit on how formal/practical you want us to be. Since I haven't got much time for helping with the coding, I would feel (a little bit) bad about (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jul-05, to lugnet.admin.general)
