I think my final scan scheme will be something like take 32 readings, sort into high 16 and low 16 and get an average for each group and compare the difference in the high/low average... maybe discard the top and (...) I have a question for people who have built (or are building) robots for Deep Yellow. Has anyone else noticed the common area restrictions to be a problem? has anyone else come across this dilemma: the light reading between a black chip and an empty C$ cell are VERY small. on the order of 1% other than adding a light to the sensor (which is clunky and only helps a little bit) OR do you put a light (...) POINTLESS. but FYI my first attempt at a board scan resulted in a time of 35 seconds. Heck, at that speed, my Project X could have done TWO anti-X times. now, if only I can find some way to program some sort of random number...... think think (...) end of day one: captains log; I now have a simple Cartesian robot, that can move in an X and Y direction. I spent more time on the "test" code than anything else.
