end of day one:
captains log;
I now have a simple Cartesian robot, that can move in an X and Y
direction. I spent more time on the "test" code than anything else. As
of now, I have the Y axis hunting back and forth between 7 spots.
I could not use a touch sensor for the X axis, so I had to rewrite parts
of the test code to use light instead. I have a feeling that this will
be my robots downfall.
I have not yet merged the two test codes to have BOTH the X and Y axis
hunt for random cells (just yet) This will happen soon.
Sleep is for the weak. Goals for the following days:
-Design, Build, and Test a chip dropper.
-Precariously balance chip dropper to top of flimsy X axis arm.
-Learn C
-Write code for main algorithm
- test finished robot.
- have Abby play robot (declare victory)
- bring robot to shopping mall and observe how robot does vs. small
children
this ends my journal for the day 1

"It is a very clever strategy IMHO, and I applaud Chris for thinking of
it." K.C.
