Tom, Chris, Larry, Matt, and Todd (and others):  thanks for your input.  I
really do appreciate it.

Everyone else:  Hey, you know what guys?  Forget it.  It's been made clear • to
me that [I am] not welcome here...I'm out of here.

I've seen something like this happen about three dozen times on list and
newsgroups and such.  Prety quickly, I developed the stance of "well, bye."
The round of pleading with the person "not to go," "to please stay," "we all
long for tidbits of your wisdom" always nausiate me.

This is the first time that I would actually be disappointed if the person
really left.  Maybe because I'm the first and main "adversary."

OK PEOPLE,
I have tried for days to ignore this abuse on both side for the past couple
of days.  A few have taken this to a level that it should have never reached.
A new all time low.  PLEASE, PULL UP, STOP, CEASE, LET IT GO.  I hate spam as
well as the next person but I expect offers from those I associate with and
are like minded.  If I don't want to read the e-mails, the delete button
works. The orginal poster has gotten the point.  LET IT GO.  I have tried to
ignore this but my inbox is overflowing.  I am having trouble separating the
real messges forwarded from LUGNET, from the garbage.  Let's put this in
prospective and make this the end.  On behalf of both sides in the dispute, I
apologise to all of LUGNET for having to endure this nightmare.   Now let's
all get back to the business of Legos.

Hokay, I have no idea what's going on here, I just know this is one big mess
that will probably never get cleaned up. Anyway, I just noticed: This thread
has 54 messages in it (55 counting mine). Is that some kind of world record,
or what?

(...) Not even close... I don't know what the overall record for LUGNET is but check out the Age Limitations thread in org.us.nelug it got about 250 posts in just 2 days back in July. The NELUG thread might not be a record for overall posts but it (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.auction)
