Fiddling round on the net today I took a trip to www.spiteyourface.com, the guys who did the fantastic Monty Python short. Sadly I have let my story slide for a long time now. I promised to update it to part 5, and my new digital camera seemed to promise progress, but alas, nothing has happened. Without lego its just stories, and then i judge them on literary talents, which makes them difficult because they aren't written as literary stories. we aren't here for short story workshop. (...) I mainly read stories for the "eye candy". I haven't gotten around to creating my own story or joining the IOM because to me personally, lego is about building stuff, not making stories with minifigs. I'll be honest and I say I haven't really read (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

I'll address the issue in which Magnus and Lenny hinted at in other posts: There have been a *lot* of stories written in the past few months. I must say that I agree with you, Kyle. Not to say that I don't enjoy a good story! In fact, I enjoy writing my own! (Although I've been rather slack about that, now haven't I...) I third the motion for a .castle.ballads subgroup. I love the stories, when I have time for them, and someday I will hopefully post my own. Yes the whole top rotates, sitting on a turntable, and the driveshaft goes through the center of it. I will try and part disassemble it or ldraw the workings so people can see the gubbins inside. I couldn't have done it without the inspiration of (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

I'm not anti-story by any means. And quelching creativity is the last thing I'd ever want to do! From casual observation it appeared that the growing amount of stories might warrant a new group. For example, the growing amount of MECHA in (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

The only downside I can think of is that it takes a while to build the models (more tedious than Lego) and you need a lot of patience downloading the add on programs like L3P (...)
