Am I ever a lucky guy. I recently found out that the folding table under my 40x80 inch lego table is roughly 30x62 inches long, and it folds in half to 30x31 inches, perfect for planning any future modules for Lucnyville. Excellent... :) -Dave (22 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

(...) The middle tables are NOT compatible with baseplate dimensions, strictly speaking--they would have to be 30 1/4" X 60 1/2" in order to fit 3x6 road plates, according to PNLTC's table plan. I also planned for that one special steam train of mine to be in the Roundhouse. Only issue is that its ALOT longer then two straight tracks. I took some time last night to give myself some geometry lessons. The results are pleasing. I can be a tad more flexible because it just so happens that each bay is 16 wide at the start of the track that leads into the bay (16x (x) baseplates). I (...) Looks like many table modules are based on Ben Fleskes' design over at PNLTC, and NELUG has adapted it. Shaun Thanks for your input. I've been thinking about it and it might be cheaper too. then going out and blowing 50 bucks on a table. 4x4 ft modules seems like a nice overall size.
