...a few seconds of digging reveals Ben Fleskes' comments relevant to this
matter, and proves that Alan's probably right:
http://news.lugnet.com/org/us/lucny/?n=404
"[1] a PNLTC 30" x 60" module is actually (30.24" x 60.47" or 96 x 192
studs), we just call it a 30x60. If you actually made them the shorter
length things wouldn't fit right."
If Ben says so, then it is so. It is his design, after all. Let this be a
lesson to us all to challenge a mathemetician over such dimensional details!
How about we place the stock 30"x60" tables, oh, let's say, 0.235" apart at
shows?
:^)

| Am I ever a lucky guy. I recently found out that the folding table under my 40x80 inch lego table is roughly 30x62 inches long, and it folds in half to 30x31 inches, perfect for planning any future modules for Lucnyville. Excellent... :) -Dave (23 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

| (...) Yes, I've been there, and based the 30" size recommendations on the dimensions you have for 32x32 stud baseplates. rtlToronto uses 30" and commented that baseplates fit "just fine." We'll have to convince ourselves either way, methinks. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)
