My insurance company just considers my Lego as part of the basic value I've placed on all my stuff. I asked if a special rider was needed, but they said no. (...) buy the large plates locally ... $13.00 CDN vs 8.00 US at shop @ home. the 1200 piece bucket was discontinued...I suspect that Lego felt they weren't making enough money on it, so they canned it. Hello, I am not sure if you know, but the 2003 National Model Railroading Association is having an annual convention in Toronto from July 13-19 2003 (NEXT year). Of course, we'll sort this out tonight, but I don't see why we should bar anti-robot strategies unless they violate our usual standards. I'll definitely try to make it by 6. I'll bring one very evil 'tank' steer player that is inspired by 3 back-to-back BattleBots episodes. I'm bringing three: a rack & pinion trike, a fragile tank/skid steerer with a kicker, and an upgraded tank identical in design but less prone to self-destruct. (...) what about a kicking device??? Each of mine has 4 motors (1 for each rear wheel to allow steering / and to give it some horse power, and 2 motors for the kicking device). I managed to slap together a robot this morning in about an hour and half. After fixing one major design flaw, I was basically covering up the IR port, I discovered it's about a 1/4 inch too long.
