last night, instead of a normal dinner get-together, we met at the MIE
lab at University of Toronto, and tested out the playability of a "live"
robo-sports game.

I think it would have been cool to play around Peachy-Server, the life-blood
of rtlToronto....but Calum said that was out of the question.  So we played
by Blueberry-Terminal. :)

There was a great turn out for a "private" meeting.  Most people people,
except Chris (who is very busy at work), brought a nice bot to test out.
But we did miss the "big-wigs" of our group: Bruce, Dave, and Rob.  Maybe
next time.

There was a limited amount of photographs taken...(ps if someone took
a picture of my robots dancing, please be kind enough to send me a copy!!
pretty please!!!)

Some of the robots I liked: Iain's robot was awesome!!!  The steering
mechanism was first class.  I also really liked Ivan's "Bob Cat 'Bot"
I also really liked the construction of Jeff VW's bot, and the overall
concept of John G's red robot.

There was a lot of stuff to take in at the testing evening, so I'll have
to bring in my team for an indepth retooling for the competition.
Possibly a small shop @ home order (and possibly e-bay?? and bricklink??)to
get additional elements for......

....

....

.... TEAM "BUZY B".

Anybody else want to post additional thoughts, agreements, disagreements
to what I said, go ahead....  and if you care to include pic's, even
better.  And if you liked my dancing 'bots...good...because I definitely
had a great time coming up with the choreography of it. :)

Ben...

don't forget to lube your 'bots...just not for the competition...

(...) PeachyServer (actually known as PeachyProfessional, the original Peachy was an Amiga 4000 running as a XTerm to department Solaris boxen) actually isn't a hell of a lot to play around on, it's a SPARCserver without a keyboard, mouse, or (...)
