I agree with what you say relating to Likud.

I would like to add that just because the your views and Likud's concur it
does not mean that anyone is "proven right".

Apparantly, Sharon is still committed to the notion of a Palestinian
state, and US is still committed to supporting such a state, even
after the Likud decision:
