I guess you mean during the 1948 war,
1) This isn't different than what is happening now in Afghanistan.
People left their homes in fear of the coming war.
1.25 million Israeli Arabs now living in Israel are the ones who didn't run.
2) You are talking about something that happened 53 years ago. It's like saying
the US is a terrorist organization because of Vietnam or UK because of the Zulu
wars (and so on)

While Israel is by no means perfect and has done many things during the last 53
years that I disagree with, I think it's pretty obvious who's doing more lying
and downplaying these days.
By "terrorists that have occupied all levels of the Israeli leadership" I guess
you mean people like Yizhak Shamir and Menahem Begin who were heads of militant
organizations before the state of Israel was born.
First of all, I agree that 53 years ago they were terrorists.
BUT,
1) that was 53 years ago.
2) they changed their ways once Israel was born and forsaken their old ways.
(Menahem Begin signed the peace treaty with Egypt and gave the entire Sinay
desert back to Egypt)
3) they have no relation to the current government, and had no relation for at
least 10 years.
4) even 53 years ago they were fighting against an army that came from England
to occupy Israel - and was thousand of miles away from his homeland.
5) At NO point they were engaged in Kamikaze killing of dozens of innocent
children!
