Once apon a time, (somewhere around the early 80's I think) Coke-cola changed
their formula for Coke and introduced "NEW" Coke. Needless to say it didn't go
over very well. The public had a fit and profits plummited. Coke eventually
realized they had made a huge error and eventually went back to the old formula.
Hopefully Lego will someday do the same thing. I know, speaking for myself the
amount of new sets I have purchased in the last year has plummited. Even the
stuff I buy on Bricklink is all old grey. I just don't see myself starting over
collecting what I already have in a slightly different shade. Ultimately the
Lego group has to ask themselves, are we lossing more money by not going back
than what it would cost to solve the problem. I hope it's a yes......and I hope
they realise it. I don't intend that to sound mean. I wish the company all the
luck in the world while they try to dig themselves out of the hole. A lego
company producing bley would still be better than Lego produced by Mattel, or
Hasbro, or heaven forbid, megablocs.
