NOTE: I really hate getting invloved in the color debates, but I will if I think
my 2c are important enough.

It is quite disappointing that he basically only rephrased Jakes writings.

Although I agree with this, I look at it as more of a closure, coming as it is-
straight from the horse's mouth.

What value has an apology even from a CEO on behalf of his company, if
there is no intent whatsoever to remedy the situation? Sorry, but I
can't accept this "apology".

I thought the letter made it very clear that TLC was not in a financial position
to remedy the situation. But you can always do as David Simmons is doing- just
keep hoping that one day they recover, and reinstate the old colors. Now if they
do this I see a few things happening:
1) Taking for granted that they will first discuss such a move with the
community before making such a switch, I'm pretty sure that there will be a
sizeable number of people who will, again, oppose the change. And, the longer
the amount of time they take to make such a switch, the quantity of people
owning large amounts of bley will only go up. Especially now with the release of
sets like the Death Star, which are uber cool and have a large amount of bley in
them.

2) (God forbid) The controversy generated by *this* change will be even bigger,
since this time round, the for/against bley camps will be equally matched, due
to the above reason, coupled with the added element of the so-called 'locked'
colours. ('You can't change back!! You promised us you wouldn't! What are we
going to do with the metric ton of bley in our collections??????!!!')

The biggest mistake is not to fix a mistake once it is found.

Disappointed, Christian

Again, they can't fix it right now.
