Typically, sets with duplicate numbers have nothing to do with each
other.[1] So it isn't really accurate to consider one set as an alternate
of the other.

1) There are exceptions, where variations of a set are available, such as
6938, the Explorien Scorpion Detector/Mercury I. The arms on this model
were different in NA than in Europe. Of course, this set is also an
example of one set with multiple set numbers.[2]
2) I know, I know: the 1737 wasn't the *same* set as 6938, it was a special
'limited edition'. But the model was exactly the same.
