On the subject of Macro evolution:

I present the following excerpt (again from
http://www.drdino.com/Articles/Article6.jsp)

Please understand, when I talk about evolution I am not referring to
simple variations that occur in any species. Dogs
produce a variety
of puppies, but never will dogs produce hamster or
pine tree
offspring! Creationists do not argue that all dogs,
wolves, and foxes
may have had a common ancestor, nor do they argue that
natural
selection occurs. These would both be true whether
plants and
animals were created or evolved. However, real
evolution, as
presented in the textbooks, teaches that dogs share a
common
ancestor with pine trees! While anyone is certainly
welcome to
believe what he wants to believe, no intelligent
person can say
evolution is real science, because evolution is not
observable,
testable, or demonstrable. My argument is not with
science, but
with evolution being improperly incorporated into
science where it
                  has no place.

Since I'm no scientist this best describes what I have learned to be the
difference between micro and macro Evolution as far as the meaning of
the terms -- since this IS what the subject line of the message reads I
thought that I'd clarify this as the basis for my arguments.

I guess I'll just say again that my beliefs would mostly echo those of
Dr. Kent Hovind when it comes to the theories of creation/evolution as
presented in his seminars.  If you check his itinerary
(http://www.drdino.com/Itinerary/Itinerary.jsp) and you live near any of
the areas where he will be speaking in the future I highly recommend
your attending no matter what your current beliefs.  His presentations
aren't a couple hours of Church either if that's what you're thinking
(not that I'm against that or anything but...) -- he presents real facts
and evidences to _support_ the creation theory. (i.e. using the Biblical
record in Genesis as his foundation, he shows various phenomenon that
fit in place with the Bible)

"Remember, the evidence the fossil record gives us is not about *how* macroevolution happens, merely that it does." ++Lar The fossil record as an evidence for macro-evolution has two aspects which must be considered: 1) Do strata (layers of soil) (...)
