John,

Given your blind support for Bush,

First, I do not blindly support Bush. I am a 1 issue man, and Kerry can have my vote at any time if he ever supports The Fair Tax

would you say this is freedom?

I would say that neither of us knows the complete circumstances in these cases and so commenting on them is pointless.

...and will we ever know the “complete circumstances”? I doubt it; these guys will get away with murder… as will the minority of the troops in Iraq who have abused their position (as a result of poor training).

Given your blind support for Israel,

Okay, I loyally support Israel.

Your loyalty is misplaced. You’d do better to be loyal to freedom & justice. You should follow my lead, and try to be a little more objective.

would you say this is freedom? (I would have thought that a nuclear deterrent was useless if one’s enemies did not know it existed?!).

I would say that that is a case of Israel trying to defend her freedom against disgusting treachery. I’m surprised the guy is still alive.

No. It is about denying a man his freedom. The restrictions placed upon him suggest he is little threat to anyone. He is guilty of nothing more than exposing illegal activity within Israel… he is a “wistleblower”.

But even if, for the sake of argument, I conceded (which I don’t) that these were 2 cases of what? totalitarianism? what is your point? That the US and Israel aren’t perfect? You needn’t have bothered. I already have acknowledged that many times previously.

You do more than acknowledge it; you support it!

Any time you want to hold up some country that values Freedom and Democracy more than we do, speak right up.

I assume you mean only the USA; Israel’s record on Freedom and Democracy is an utter joke (they are governed by a wanted war criminal & their human rights record is literally shocking).

I’ll turn your question around: you show me a country that has done more do undermine democracy and support oppression since WW2. For starters, how many millions were killed in South East Asia?
