(...) The general standard is to go up to 3 decimal places in part files. I agree, main vertices really don't need more than 1 or 2 places. (...) If possible, can you measure the distance diagonally across the minimum radius part of a cross axle? My guess is this problem has shown up because the concave curve at that point of the cross axles has not been modelled in the Ldraw (...) (20 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

I personally round off the numbers to 4 decimals, but I’ve been known to do crazy stuff like modelling in 1/100 (max zoom in mlcad) and use 1-24 parts of high res primitives from time to time. But I would suggest you to round off to (at least) two (...) (20 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Last weekend I finished the red holder part for the old yellow steam train drive rod. In this first version I ommited the small gap near the centre stud hole. (...) I try to stick to whole numbers whenever possible, or tenths if I must. That helps keep file sizes down. I noticed some inconsistancy in the naming of some of the wedge parts. Some are named with the smaller number first, and others are named with the numbers placed to match the numbers used on bricks based on the X and Z axes. For example, 41765 is (...) What approach should I take to create the "Curved Slope End". Should I create a curved and slope line and surface primitive? This is the new castle wall section in the Knights Kingdom 2 sets (eg sets 8779, 8780, 8781, 8799) I've uploaded the DAT file for this to the Parts Tracker. Hi Jindrich, I actually think this belongs in cad.dev, because this is a software issue, more than a part issue. LSynth for example is a flexible part synthesizer. Several parts consist of several bits, like metal connectors for electric parts and glass for windows and doors and compound housing (e.g. top and bottom housing). I just noticed that part 30147 does something that I haven't seen done in any other part. It uses the stud primitive in a way that is inside out. When I checked this part to use this primitive I noticed that the rectangular faces go inside the round cylinders. (Why didn't I notice this when BFCing this (...)
