Several parts consist of several bits, like metal connectors for electric parts
and glass for windows and doors and compound housing (e.g. top and bottom
housing).
How should all the various bits be named and where should they be stored?
(In following examples YYYY is the main part number (YYYY.dat))
* ABS/CA molds (like doorframe, glass, upper and lower housing, etc.)
- Name: unique ####.dat for each bit or YYYYs##.dat?
- Folder: Parts or Parts/S?
* Metal bits (like connectors and such)
- Name: YYYYs##.dat
- Folder: Parts/S
* Complete assembly door/window + glass
- Name: YYYYc##.dat or YYYY.dat?
- Folder: Parts
* Complete assembly ABS/CA + metal bits
- Name: YYYY.dat or YYYYc##.dat?
- Folder: Parts
* Shortcuts (door/window + removable glass, lightbrick with removable bulb,
etc.)
- Name: YYYYc##.dat
- Folder: Parts
Anything I've missed?
