I actually think this belongs in cad.dev, because this is a software issue,
more than a part issue. LSynth for example is a flexible part synthesizer. The
parts are made up of a whole bunch of part cross sections. Software has to
count up the number of cross sectional parts to determine true length.
Orion and I have been talking about true length support in LSynth. The thing
is that you are going to have to provide true length for each pair of
constraints, and the tools can add up the lengths to get total true length.
