The issues list is now posted on the .Ambassadors sidebar.

These issues, regarding LEGO products and services worldwide, should come as no surprise to anyone, as they have been brought to the Ambassadors’ attention repeatly over the past few months/years. We are working with TLG to have these items addressed and answered, as an ongoing effort of 2-way communication.

We are confident that you, the LEGO fans, will have more issues for us to add to this list. Please feel free to post them in this newsgroup.

What really apalls my wife who is a big-time Lego fan is the insulting way in which Lego sets are marketed to girls and women. Stroll through a well stocked Lego specialty store. If you are female, sets start out with Duplo Brick princesses. If you are 8-to 11 the Belville Sets are the same theme, and the same number of pieces. While they don’t use Duplo bricks in Belville, the Lego-system elements included are huge. Where a boy’s king’s castle set would include 800+ standard sized Lego system pieces, a girl’s Belville castle will still only be 80 BIG system pieces. Is TLG saying that 51 percent of the world’s population is dumb, is it telling parents (who pay for the sets) that their daughters are too dumb to appreciate or understand how Lego elements fit together? This marketing strategy is idiocy. Visit Legoland, you will see that 51% of the children are young girls, and they want advanced sets.
