Unclear instructions and box art certainly are an issue. I haven't bought any of
this year's Exo-Force sets because I can't tell what color the pieces will be
based on the box art.* In recent years, I have often confused black and dark
grey pieces because the instructions' colors aren't easy to distinguish.
*Yes, I could look them up on Peeron or try to find photos elsewhere, but when
you're impulse shopping in a store aisle this becomes an issue. Also, most
LEGO-buying consumers will not even know of these resources.
