For the record, I'd like to suggest custom sensors be allowed in the future. With that said, I doubt they will be allowed, at least for a while. One of the competition ideas which didn't make it to BrickFest this year was to be in a walled enclosure. In the design process, I discovered that a line is not a good idea. Well I was looking at the 45 degree crossing idea and I've discovered a bit of a problem. Its not just two straight tracks that have to be modified, but the four switchs as well.
