Yes I know, with Win32 it's easy no matter if it's http or ftp, but is it also under Unix? I would like to keep the source as portable as possible. In general it doesn't depend on the protocol, but getting directory listings from ftp servers is (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Ok unless my new parsing-routine is ready I will replace the spaces by underlines as a work-arround since I found out the real problem is the space in the file-name. Hy, after exchanging some mails with Tim Courtney, I'm planing to write a generic download-utility for LDraw/LEdit stuff. (...) Not all muskets have a belled muzzle. Civil War era muskets were non-belled, making them much more accurate. (...) It is much more sane to use POV-Ray's animation system to do this automatically. That way, you could issue one POV-Ray command and render all the instruction steps in one run, using only one POV-file. I have suggested this to Lars C Hassing, (...) I thought about making use of the category statement in MLCad. This would have allowed to group the parts by category rather than by name or something else .... ... but I did a quick check on the parts and found out that only arround 5% of the parts (...) Color 256 for Black Rubber was suggested by John VanZwieten one year ago, see eg. (URL) haven't received any suggestions for the POV setting for rubber, so I just turned off reflection. I noticed that the m6596a.dat file which comes with the new version of L3Lab uses color 256 (black + black) for the tires. These apparently display in L3Lab with a black edge color. It's not necessarily true that the old DOS interface is more difficult or bothersome, but that it appeals more to an expert user. Conversely, the MLCad UI (...) (...) I use LEdit as my primary modeling tool, L3Lab for explorative viewing and LDLITE for final high quality rendering. Well... In an interesting question and answer session I had originally with Brad Justus, it came to my attention that TLC did not approve of the 3D red brick ldraw.org logo. Brad checked with the corporate counsel about the logo, and relayed the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.events, lugnet.cad) !
