I thought about a new feature in MLCad where the user can define his own
groups to be show in the part preview and in the part tree. Each group will
have a certain rule (search criteria) which assigns parts to this groups.
The part assignment is done in a certain user-define able order.
The searching takes place in the part description only and therefor I will
not need the category then ... so I think I can live with it.
Finaly I hope this adds enough flexibility to MLCad to make finding parts a
bit easier than it is now.

| (...) I'd say there are no plans to add statements for all part files. The 'default value' for category is the first word in the partname. Since, 3001.dat doesn't have a 0 CATEGORY statement, its category comes from the part name, and the category (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
