Shaun, Not sure if this will help you or not, but there is an old dos command named SUBST, which will substitute a drive letter and path for another. For instance you could type Subst L: D:\ and that will create an L drive on your system that refers (...) (22 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad)

I think the reason for the capital .DAT extension is because LDraw was original DOS. If you install the original package under windows, all directories and files will be capitals as well. Furthermore I do not experience any problems with lower or (...) (22 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

It seems like a while back, parts were supposed to have the extension ".DAT". But I'm seeing that all the links on ldraw.org seem to point to files with ".dat" at the end. Sorry about the preferences file gotcha. The workaround is to copy your preferences file from Classic. Choose the LDRAW folder in Classic. Copy the file from /System Folder/Preferences/BrickDraw3D Preferences to ~/Library/Preferences/ cp "/System (...) (22 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Thanks. The links have been fixed. The 800x600 render was the original version. It's been replaced now. I did use the radiosity feature. Great as it is, radiosity will kill rendering time. (...) You need to add the word 'Train' somewhere in the title of the part (that's the first line of the file) in order for it to show up in the train category in MLCad. I have just started using MLCAD v2.12 and downloaded some train parts from lugnet.trains - the Train Poster. The parts loaded OK but they are not in the correct category and do not have a description. Studying the other parts I see the first line in (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Travis, Nice! I really like the individual renders of the Tie-Pod. I had to poke around to get the link to work right from the Wallpapers page though. Did you use the POV radiosity feature? I'm trying to generate a render of a white model in perspective with black outlines for the pieces. I've traditionally used MLcad and LDlite to do this but now I need the model in perspective and it seems these programs are incapable of producing (...) (22 years ago, 17-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad)
