I have just started using MLCAD v2.12 and downloaded some train
parts from lugnet.trains - the Train Poster.

The parts loaded OK but they are not in the correct category and
do not have a description.

Studying the other parts I see the first line in the file should be
"0 Category Description", so I added this line but cannot get the
parts list to update so show these correctly.

How do I do this, or is there a better way?

Thanks

David

You need to add the word 'Train' somewhere in the title of the part (that's
the first line of the file) in order for it to show up in the train category
in MLCad.

In other words, the first line of the file should be "0 Model title" or "0
Part Name".

The actual part file does not hold information for the library
category(actually called "group" - not to be confused with modeling groups)
that the part belongs to. Some old parts might do, but this is outdated.

MLCad has 3 "non-customizable" library groups: models, favorites and
document (of course, they can all be customized, but in a different way than
the rest of the library "groups" or categories).

The other groups can be edited and deleted via Settings/Groups/Group
configuration. To MLCad, these library groups are a search function.

Look here for the search language options

I hope it helps!
