Hey, I was wondering if anyone was doing anything. This list has been very
quite except for Erik (and me).
I know Erik is working on BrickDraw3D.
I think Ldglite is pretty much as far as it is going to get on Mac OS X.
I know Andrew had done a bunch of work creating a different (faster) version
of Ldglite for Mac OS 8-9. I don't know what he is doing with that.
I know of Alex Raftis' Cocoa port of LDView. I couldn't get it to compile
in Mac OS X 10.1.5. I could try again with 10.2.2, and I might even be able
to figure out this time why it wouldn't compile...
The last project I know of is LCX, a little Cocoa thing that an Apple OpenGL
engineer wrote but I believe dropped because his app was geared for BFC
certifications and the LDRAW parts and primitaves aren't BFC compliant or
something. I don't think he wanted to go through the entire parts and fix
them all.
Anyway, that is all I know of that is going on. Anyone out there doing
secret stuff? I remember once upon a time I had gotten a bunch of people to
commit to working on stuff. Did any of you actually subscribe to this list?
James

| (...) As an update, since returning from vacation about a month ago with my new DDR Mac, I set about getting my code to work in OSX. At present I have versions of my program in both "Classic" and "Carbon", with the Carbon version being Aqua aware. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
